AFO!!
YAY! I went to Anime Festival Orlando this past weekend right before school started, and it was worth it. The whole time I had practically no money, so the dealer's room wasn't too much fun. I did not cosplay, but I REALLY wish I did. I'm an attention whore, and I would have gotten attention in a costume. Let's go through it day by day. Friday: I have to say, this must have been the best day at the con. Maybe it's just because this was the day to explore the con property, see the dealer's room, etc. Saturday morning I had a total emo breakdown and didn't go out the the con until noon-ish, and still didn't do much except for the cosplay contest, which had some pretty neat entries. The 80s dance that night was turned into a rave. Sunday my friend Draco got a spot at the artist's alley. I was the "gay bouncer," keeping fangirls from touching him, so that only his girlfriend can. Then the costume contest. Nothing exceptional; nothing that was any better than anything at any other con. Then came the end. It took an unusual 5+ hour drive home. I'll post any pictures as oon as I get them. Notable costumes I liked: Mana from Malice Mizer's Bara no Seidou album and Princess Kakyuu. Both costumes were very nicely made.
