**From first week of December..eeps!**
It's late at night -- it's just half past 1 in the morning, yikes! Ha...well, had a long day earlier...Todd and I cleaned the entire house (minus Johnny's room) and invited my mother over for tea. We had marinated lemon chicken with Mederritan lentils and rice, and mixed vegetables. Loved the lemony tang in the chicken, yum! All homemade. :) Soon, we all left for the bowling alley for the league tournament Todd and I had. We did alright - I reckon I had my worst night of bowling, ha.
Saturday, had a quiet day at home.
Sunday - went over to my mother's and did the front yard - leafblew all leaves out of the garden of Mom's...also off the street in front of the the house.
I've had a bit of an overwhelming week at work - teacher stayed home sick, so I had to hold the fort by myself, with the exception of 4th period where I managed to snag Matt to work with 4 students while I focused on the other 2 on different lessons. At least, I'm refreshening my memory on all what I learned back in high school during my time, ha.
**fast forward to 26 December 2005** Yii! Christmas has come and gone, wow. What a hectic week prior to Christmas Day which was yesterday. Todd and I ran into a rough patch in our relationship, so things were a bit sticky a few days before Christmas which really sucked. Fortunately, we managed to resolve the issues that were on the table and got back into the festive mood just in time for the family gathering we attended at his father's place in Marin County. We had such a lovely time there! My mother came along for a few hours which was nice for her to be with us and getting out of the house. We also brought along a friend of ours, Mel, she lives a couple blocks away from where we live and her family lives in Florida.
(On Christmas Eve, Todd's mother and her boyfriend, stopped by to say hello and then went out to lunch. Todd's mother gave me a real nice dark purple scarf and Todd got a few presents. Lunch was at Gary Chu's Cruisine Chinese in 5th Street, downtown.)
Back to Marin County's Christmas Day family gathering - we spent the evening exchanging general banter about each others and nibbling on some crab dip, crackers and beet soup. I received an airbrushed purple/green silk scarf from Todd's step-mother and Todd's father gave me a $25 gift card for Borders (I got a book, 'The Complete Idiot's Guide to Learning Spanish')...Todd's step-brother and girlfriend, gave us a homemade card...Todd's step-sister gave us an Indian style purple/orange strange shaped ceiling hung lamp...Todd's sister gave me some Girhadelli dark chocolates and smoked salmon for Todd. Todd got a real nice deep blue cordory jacket from his father and step-mother. Todd's got one really lovely family and I adore them all.
Todd replaced my old keyboard and mouse with a Logitech wireless keyboard and optical and wireless mouse! I absolutely love it, heh. It's better without the cords attached to them.
I must say that I feel very blessed that Todd's in my life - he's one of a kind. He's totally out of this world and very special. He constantly keeps my brain working and absorbing new information he has on just about everything that exists on Earth and a number of outer space stuff. (Astronomy)I'm constantly finding myself being the 'student' whilst he's the teacher, at the same time being in the roles of lovers. It's an enriching experience.
I look forward to many years of wonderful memories and experiences with the man I'm IN love with -- Todd. I love you.
Have a safe and wonderful New Year's 2006!
