Apparently they will go the movie route, too. The first one is being paid for by Sci Fi and will run there before it goes to DVD.
Ain't that just sucky? What's worse is that M&M will probably write the script.
What a waste.

Gateworld says M&M will definitely write the movie. More blah. I have liked both SG-1 movies, but Scribe is right, it will get more and more difficult to get the cast together. And it's not the same.
I think actor contracts ended, etc., so they probably didn't want to bother.

Plus, I'm betting the producers get a decent amount of money for a feature and don't have to work nearly as hard as they would for 20 eps. The show was doomed when they put Mallozzi in charge because he is always looking for Easy Street.
I know you really liked this show and I'm sorry the series is over.

I think Flanigan despises Mallozzi and will be happy enough not to repeat Sheppard; he'll probably ask for a lot of money.

Huh. Good point. I figured Joe was probably looking for a paycheck comensurate with being the lead on a successful TV show. And friction with Malozzi would certainly make him even less willing to deal. I know Joe F. has nothing good to say about them getting rid of Torri.
