Watching the Republican debate...

...and my ears are bleeding.

Why is it so much harder to listen to this guys than it was listening to the Democratic Debate?

I wish I could mix and match issues from these candidates. I think Hillary Clinton might be the best person for the job. I doubt I will like all her choices but she's smart, reasonable, an experienced politican and probably has the best history for the job. Obama has the shine of a leader with vision, but I dislike how little experience he has in dealing with American politics. Strangely, I found myself disliking some of Edwards' answers. I adored what Dennis Kucinich said about overhauling the medical system (he'd get rid of the middle man.) Biden also seemed to have a good grasp of things overall. I hadn't really considered Richardson before but he also said the right things. i kept thinking Gravel of Alaska was a Republican that snuck in and was hoping no one would notice. *g*

Wow. None of the Republicans think Gays should be allowed to serve openly in the military. Seems like most if not all of the Democrats would support a change.

The first half is over and I'm really hoping none of these guys get elected.

ETA: I think of all of them, Ron Paul spoke most often of what he felt as opposed to what he felt would make him more popular (he said a few things that didn't agree with the party line,) and strangely Hucklebee, seemed more tolerant than the others.
