It was a good weekend. Saturday was spent at a ladder golf tournament. For having never played the game we did a respectable job. We ended up somewhere firmly in the middle of the pack.
On our way home we decided to take University down instead of 35W which was shut down through north east Minneapolis. Since we were heading that way we decided to stop off at Emily's Lebanese deli for the best tabbouleh in town and my favorite stuffed grape leaves.
Sunday was the Pride parade with Bagladdydd in with the rest of the Derby girls. Things seemed to go without a hitch, but since they were group 97 out of 100 it was a long day in the heat.
I brought my camera and took pictures of the parade. I'm not terribly happy with what I got, but I'm giving it a few days and then I'll review the set and see if I managed to get anything worth saving.
On both Saturday and Sunday I worked on the bike. At the beginning of the weekend it was unrideable. Now, I could at least ride it to the gas station if I needed to. I'm fairly sure that I have a couple of fouled carbs. I'm using carb cleaner, and it's improving, but not doing as much as I would like. The more I read, the more I'm thinking that I'll have to take the carbs off and do a manual clean of all the parts. I'm not too bummed about it. It will give me a chance to put the shims on the needles that all of the sv websites recommend to get rid of some of the throttle sensitivity and a flat spot on the torque curve.
