I would be happy to take pictures again at the next game. The camera quality leaves a little something to be desired, but on the flip side I don't worry about the camera at all. If we have a game outside during the day the camera will do a much better job. The early olympus cameras were not good in low light. But I will have camera in one hand and a pistol in the other.
The lens should be fine as long as you have a filter for it.
I think a better idea would be to have a rotating photographer. So no one person gets stuck doing it and have them wear blaze orange and be out of the game.

Too bad we didn't get out more (and earlier) with the camera.
It'd be nice to have a bunch of good in game shots. (But kinda scary to bring an expensive camera out there.)

The body is waranteed up the ass. So long as the serial number is intact, I can walk in with the battered remains and leave with a brand new one.
It's the lenses that I worry about.
