No lie, I have been reading like it's my JOB for the past week and a half. Maybe two and a half weeks, actually. All I know is, once you put me on holiday, the books come out. I'll read a book a day, generally. I'm talking at least 325 pages. I do almost nothing but read, and read, and read. I stay up late to read "one" more chapter, and then spend at least the first hour of consciousness reading. I think this must be in answer to the novel deprivation I suffer during the semester. When I was younger, I read all the time. I won an award when I was 12 for reading 83 books over the course of the school year -- no re-reads, and most of them decent-sized. Now that I'm in college... oof. I'll manage to read MAYBE three novels a semester, depending on their size, and those are often in single-weekend (or even single DAY) gulps. So when I'm finally on an extended break, it's like I turn into a bookworm that has been starved of paper. I'm actually in a bit of a pickle right now because I've finished my library books and need to get something new. I would really like to re-read Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, but of course our copy has disappeared.
And I just had some MASSIVE deja vu.
