Sailing class this past weekend was
pretty sweet, makes me wish I knew how awesome sailing was earlier but at least I know now.
Me being a dumbass I left later than I should have and got there about 5:25 and what is this oh, my cell phone decides not to work at all but only when I really need it. So I wander around a bit look at the surroundings and end up taking a nap in my car til the group gets back from sailing... at 6:30 and say we had til midnight, no more sailing til tomorrow. I'm hungry so I go out to eat with the group and try to become a part of the group now since everyone else did all that introduction stuff on the first sail. In the group there was one person younger than I, one who just turned 21 and the rest at least 23 so needless to say everyone but us two were drinking. Captian Joe came to hang out for a while but left soonafter, then the sports bar got pretty lame so we went off to meijer since everyone wanted to drink on the boat even if we weren't supposed to.
We returned with the goods in tow and made our way to the boat where joe came and talked to us for a little while before retiring to his trailer. After he left we got out the stuff, made some drinks, and started playing drinking games. It was a good time drinking with a bunch of people I didn't know.
Captian Joe woke us up in the morning around 9 and asked me if I was a heavy sleeper, I said sometimes and thought nothing of it. Then he took someones camera because he saw a bird he had to take a picture of but then at the last second just took a picture of me instead. Some of the people started laughing a bit and at that moment I knew there was something on my face. Sure enough I go into the bathroom, look, and "I'm a drunken sailor" is written across my face. Turns out I passed out before everyone else and they're msu kids what else are they supposed to do?
Going out and actually sailing was really awesome though. When you're out there and not on land it just feels like you don't have to worry about anything at all and was very relaxing. We went out on Lake Muskegon and later after lunch, even convinced Captian Joe to let us go out to Lake Michigan.
It was a lot of fun and overall a great experience.
