lets put everything into one post
Saturday night I went to see Green Day at the Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids. I ended up bringing Heidi, the mentor from first floor Gilchrist, because she was such a huge fan and I know how awesome concerts are, so why not share the experience with someone who would truly enjoy it. It was fucking amazing. My Chemical Romance opened for them and I love them so it was sweet but then Green Day came out and proceded to blow my mind. Floor tickets make a show soooo much better. The set they played was amazing but I wish they would have played "Macy's Day Parade" and "Walking Contradiction" alas they did not. Regardless I have absolutely no complaints. A helluva lot better than the first time I had seen them. Nearer the end of their set Tre Cool threw out a drumstick into the crowd but I thought nothing of it. Notwithstanding a minute later I noticed the people in front of me fighting over the damn thing and when it didn't end right away I started to get annoyed because a girl obviously had it but then people started trying to wrestle it away from her. This is so not cool. I decided to join in on the fun and grabbed on and started twisting it around and yelling ridiculously obscene things but mostly that I "want to play with it". To my surprise, I ended up with the drumstick but instead of keeping it I gave the drumstick to the girl that initially had it because she should have had it and I'm just a nice person like that. Overall it was a totally kick ass show and I would definitely see them again.
I managed to do pretty well considering my crazy professors this semester. I'm still on the Dean's List, go me!
I finally got my damn hair cut and it is good.
The women cutting my hair, the student and her instructor, really liked it and the instructor did a lot more than I think she normally would because she got really into it and was excited doing all her special cut techniques for the texturizing. I never knew getting a hair cut could ever take 2 hours but hey you learn something new every day. Everyone I've shown really likes it too and I'm glad I made the decision I did. I can finally see and you know... its pretty damn nice.
I almost forgot to mention my apartment. It blows the dorms out of the water and I'm glad I made the decision I did, it's too bad I'm not living here next year instead of the dorms. This summer should be pretty kick ass cause I'm getting my car next week and yeah... everything is on the up and up.
