New present

My gym just got a Concept II Rower! I used it today instead of my usual 10-minute cardio, and it sucks...so I must use it more often.



So, started with 10 minutes on the Concept II, burned, like, 150 calories or so (I think). I should keep track of that stuff. Then 45-55-55-55-55 x5 reps overhead squat. Then 55-65-70-70-70 x5 reps front squat. Then 115-pound floor wipers 12-8-8 reps. My wrists are still giving out way before my chest or abs on these. I truly could do more weight and more reps if I wore gloves, which I know is frowned upon, but I feel short-changed for something stupid. Then I tried sumo dead lift high pull, 65-65-65-65-65 x5 reps. It was fine, but I'm probably going to be sore tomorrow. Last, five sets of five handstand push-ups. My range of motion is improving, but I'm still miles from the floor.

I am sort of working towards participation in a Fight Gone Bad, but still have never done wall ball, so I need to find a place to do that.

I felt better today, although my shoulders are starting to ask when I'm going to give them a break. Perhaps tomorrow.

Now it's off to work I go.
