I like this picture but, I can't see it applying to me anymore. I think I'm out of my rut! Or, I really do hope I'm out of my rut. :D Traveling does me good. I guess there's something about seeing completely new things and feeling completely out of your element that makes life seem... more refreshing. Also, having ache-y feet and being wet all over and tiredness that has you sleeping once you lie down becomes a good thing.
Some interesting things that happened:
- got screamed at & manhandled by a French lady! Which made me lose my parents!
- watched a nude-ish show. :]
- getting complimented on my outfit by an intense gay guy. Nice and scary. Just how I like it. Haha! ;]
- ate inside the Eiffel Tower for free! Swerte, swerte.
- got stranded alone in the rain by the Seine river. A street sax player came & started playing Summertime. Fucking priceless. Tamang soulful lang eh. ;]
- danced w/ a Bob Dylan lookalike! Except he was gay. And wearing a bright purple suit. And at the Grand Palais, no less. Crazy!
- getting teary-eyed watching The Reader on the plane.
- had lunch (pizza!) with some random French dude, Bernard. He drew our picture & gave us directions. Where Amelie was shot. :]
- got propositioned by a very very very old man
- ate a chicken baked in clay. As in, it came to me wrapped in clay.
- seeing my mom being hit on by a weirdo from Switzerland.
- sitting down in a French cafe, people-watching. :]
- having a near heart-attack listening to a French radio which I didn't understand but from which I deduced that, LAURYN HILL HAD A GIG IN PARIS! I researched on it, July pa pala. :| Who else is going there? ERYKAH BADU. LEONARD COHEN. Huhuhuhu. :[
- going on a tour with two people I just met. One of them gave me free food. :]
- almost getting lost in the Louvre. And I didn't have a cellphone. Or money!
- was served a 4-course meal.
- getting stressed about having to see a certain place. Then finding out, I was already sitting on its ledge. Haha!
- walking around with nowhere to go. :] One of my favorite things to do, especially when I'm by myself. Lalalala.
Will now watch Bertolucci's Last Tango in Paris. Read about it in a guidebook. Wooo, tourist-y!
