Dr. Leamon, PhD, MSSW

I've been accepted to the Urban Planning doctoral program, here at the University of Louisville. Haven't heard back from Tulane, but the pressure's off, now that I've been accepted into one program.

I feel better than I have in a number of weeks, but I still feel blah. I'm starting to spend more time with the people I've met here, so hopefully I can start meeting people of the female persuasion. This never turns out well for me, so here's hoping. x_x

I nearly exploded my car coming back from the MCR/Blink-182 show, but it was an awesome concert. I won't get to do much for the next several months, as I'm going to be ridiculously busy with classwork until May, but I'm excited to say that I'm in an excellent position to move forward with life.

Also, I want to update this more often. People, remind me! D:<

As an aside, I think that once I get out of school, I'm going to keep attending classes in an effort to prevent interest from accruing on my student debt. That way, I'll be able to attack the principle head-on. I'm close to $80k in debt right now, but the PhD position is funded, so the debt doesn't get larger. In addition, if I remain in the public/non-profit sector for 10 years, any remaining debt is automatically forgiven. I want to run a non-profit organization, so I'd be good to go. In addition, my payment schedule is based on income, so I know I won't get stuck with a payment I cannot make.

Anyway - REMIND ME TO UPDATE MORE. D:<<
