Not dead yet. Busy as I can be, but not dead. I had to replace my phone, so you might want to send me a message with who you are, so I can add you back to my contact list.
Things are well for me, aside from the "poor" part of "poor grad student." Looking into some really cool PhD options, as well as a post-masters in Japan. More on these later.
