The Blackberry Silk Pie (this recipe is a close enough match) is one of our favorites. The recipe that I have says to serve the pie chilled, but we generally prefer to eat it hot. Partially it's because we like it better that way, and partially because we don't like to wait ( Read more... )

The one thing about black raspberries is that they're kind of seedy. Which may be why they're often used for ice cream and such--I'd guess that they're strained beforehand in that case.

Oooh, that may just have to be an experiment for the summer...
