Christmas
Well, Christmas was interesting this year. I say interesting rather than enjoyable, because I'm not sure if I really enjoyed it. As I mentioned a while ago, my aunt spazzed because we weren't supposed to be able to go to Squamish for Christmas. Well, we ended up being able to go, but the mood had been so decimated, that I felt like Christmas just sort of.. slipped away.
I slept in a hotel room on Christmas eve and day. I didn't really eat properly because the house was illy equipped with enough food for twleve people. And by illy equipped, I mean the vegetables available consisted of overcooked carrots, and mashed potatos. o_o
I am also a bit bummed about the present situation. Not so much that I wanted more or whatever, but... I put so much thought, time and love into every gift I gave (basically) out. What did people get me? Gift certificates. Perhaps the most thoughtless gift outside of cash. My aunt and uncle bought me and Josh a date (movie & dinner), which was actually really cool -- those gift certificates I didn't mind at all.
Surprisingly one of the gifts I felt most touched by was from my cousin, who bought me a big ol' thing of Bailey's, having noted it is (by far) my favourite booze. It's expensive, and a luxury I very much enjoy having every week or two. So that was a plus side.
Here's the list of what I got, or at least, that which I can remember:
From Rogowski side
Slippers (Strange moccasin type ones, they are very warm and comfy yay)
A necklace & bracelet (gothy and pretty yay)
A few candle holders
From Simcoe side/Josh
A new comforter, a black one (sweet, funtional gifts +++)
Some PJs, including very nice fleece pants
two more Dolls of the World Barbies (Diwali & Ocktoberfest)
An earring holder thingie (will I actually utilize this, I hope so haha)
A new alarm clock from this century >_>;
Various pieces of jewelery
New compy speakers (Yay, my left speaker has been only working about 50% of the time for months!)
Two scarves (both very nice)
A beautiful quartz tealight thingie
Socks (Toe socks woooo)
Compy Headset (I am addicted to CS afterall?)
Electric Toothbrush!! yayyay
Big mean wine glasses
A set of five element candles (amusing, because they don't know I am all feng shui-y and yet!)
OH! A bamboo-shaped toothbrush holder that I actually use for my makeup brushes, yayayayay!1
A very odd but cool bendable tripod that can get some crazy/neat shots.

Shortbread cookies, made by Chelsea (the yummy factor)
Vanilla bubblebath (omg yay)
