[ It's been a few weeks now since Mia first showed up in Luceti, but even though she's been about, she's also been laying fairly low, favoring the approach of observing her fellow residents and their lives rather than anything like meddling for the time being.

Well, she may still be keeping to herself, but remaining invisible is not the case

[ Yes, yes it does, although even at the best of times Mia isn't particularly inclined to address others unless there's something interesting about them. It just so happens that this particular log's damage is much more worthy of her attention at the moment, apparently having burned up a reasonable amount of tallish grass around it. She may not show it, but Mia's not very happy about this; she looks over briefly, but then goes right back to carefully pushing aside the more damaged specimens. ]

[antisilent]

[Honestly, he's not that off-put by the cat-person. Or well, he is interested but he doesn't seem overly surprised. But he is surprised when he reads the residual Shinen on the log and... there's none coming off her. Well. That's odd. He blinks once or twice before smirking a little to himself and-] Hey there.

[ Mia stops and looks at him again... she's busy, but if nothing else instant cheerfulness is something she's usually capable of. ]

Anyone can see that these trees caused a lot of damage... I am simply making the best of it.

[ Straight-forward? What is that? ]

Aren't we all? [There's only a little sarcasm in that. It's more playful sarcasm than anything] It makes you wonder how these are going to get moved out of the way.

[temptresses]

Hmm... the answer will appear in time.

[ And back to pulling at those plants, though she keeps at least part of her attention on him. ]

Tell me, do you make a habit of approaching others like this?

Yeah, I guess I do. [A beat-] I like talking to people.

[temptresses]

[ Slight smile again. ]

Oh, talking can be worth it at times... although what's shown on the cover of the book is rarely what's truly important. Don't you agree?

[antisilent]

But if you don't look at the cover, there;s no chance of look further in. [A beat-] That said, I think books and people are pretty different.

[temptresses]

[temptresses]

[ She pauses to twist a blade of glass between her fingers. Yeah, her attention's pretty caught by now. ]

Oh? I don't think there's anything wrong with a little bias.
