(no subject)
I hadn't realized that it had been over a month since I updated, so I figured I'd better do that!
First off, Steve and I have been moved into our apartment for a month. I love it sooooo much, and it is adorable. Any people who happen to be reading this are invited to swing by... any time, day or night. :)
School is going pretty well, this quarter is coming to a close, and next quarter I'm mainly doing online classes... I figure that I will need to go back to Wright State, at least part time, in the fall. That will be interesting, but I feel ready.
My 21st birthday is coming up in just over a week... I can't believe it. It seems like I just turned 18, but in a way, I feel ready to be an "adult" (whatever that means). I don't have any hot plans for the 7th yet, but I don't really think drinking will be much of an option, since I'm not really far out enough from surgery to do so- I figure I might just have a glass of wine with dinner. What can I say, I'm throwing caution to the wind! :P
Weight loss is still happening, my 7 month surgiversary is tomorrow, and it was a 10 lb. month for me... meaning I'm down 128 now. I want to lose another 54 lbs in the next 5 months, I don't know how feasible that is, but that's my goal, at least for now.
I had my first audition since surgery yesterday... the Sorg is back up and running after a 2 year break (they joined with another opera company from New Jersey), and they were looking for people for a fund raiser on March 18th, and for people for their operas. I think it went alright, I mean, I sounded good, and the guy was really friendly and nice. I guess I'll just have to wait and see when he gets in touch with me- at the very least, he said he was interested in coaching me one-on-one next time he's in town- that can't be bad, right? One good thing that's happened since I last updated is that I'm starting to feel good about my voice again- my new teacher is working wonders, and he seems to have a lot of confidence in me- who I am to argue, ya know?
Anyway, that's about all that's new right now. Hope everyone out there is doing well.
