We've had some eight inches of snow and another few inches of ice today, basically shutting down the city. Universities were closed, as were most dining establishments, retail stores, you name it. So naturally, when my mom decided to run to the gas station to get coffee, I decided she was crazy.
Clearly it's hereditary, though, because as soon as she got home, I went out in search of espresso.
It somehow doesn't surprise me that, even when the weather is so bad that the military base shuts down, I was able to find an open Starbucks. Sometimes, I love capitalist culture.
(Rarely. But sometimes.)
