there is some truth in their belief that if you put too much emphasis on your material possessions, you eventually become possessed by them.

As Tyler Durden says in Fight Club: "The things you own end up owning you."

Man, I really wish I could re-read this for the book club. But that would require digging through a closet to find my copy, and even then, finding TIME to read the copy... Oh well, it's gonna be fun to see what everyone thinks of this! I'm so glad you liked it!

Ah Fight Club. Haven't seen that movie in years. Really enjoyed it. Didn't like the book quite as much for some reason.

I'm also curious to see what everyone else thinks. I foresee this novel creating great discussions.

The disparity between the film and common isn't just you. My hubby and I both felt the same way about the book. In fact, I considered it his worst book until I read Haunted, but my hubby says that Snuff beats it all!
