Neat Book Related Things that Happened this Week

-The cover to Hunting Ground by Patricia Briggs has been released. It's quite nice! Very... blue. See it here!

-Carrie Vaughn has posted an interesting three part study (plus a wrap up) or urban fantasy in her blog. I particularly like the section on pet peeves. Read here!

-Maria Snyder updates here website with news that she has been contracted for three more books. One will be the third of the upcoming Glass series. She's undecided for the following two. Glad to know that she'll be releasing books for a while. Read about it here.

-Amelia Atwater-Rhodes reports a few local book signings. Too bad I'll be buried in schoolwork by then and won't be able to drive down. If you live in New England, the dates can be found here.

-Stephenie Meyer reports that release date for the Twilight DVD and some info on special features. I don't think I'll be picking it up myself. I enjoyed the movie, and will be seeing New Moon, but it's not worth making a purchase. With my big move to Lewiston coming up this spring, I really don't want to acquire any more stuff. Read about it here.

-Kelley Armstrong has an interview with a blog called "Love Romances & More Reviews." (Er... it's been a long time since I took a grammar class, but shouldn't it be" Love, Romances & More?"). It's a rather lengthily one that talks about a lot of different books. I had to skip over the questions about Exit Strategy and Living with the Dead, since I have not read them yet. Here's the interview.

-This isn't really new or anything but while reading Sunshine, I've discovered Robin McKinley's website! It's a really attractive site with a blog she updates pretty regularly. It can be found here.

-Shannon Hale updates her blog with two interesting entries. One is a short but well put piece that questions why we push away from reading picture books at a certain age. As someone who still reads comics and graphic novels, I very much agree with her opinions. On another entry she reports that Forest Born, the fourth Bayern book, has been completed. Hurray! Here's her blog.

-Also, I have received a bunch of my paperbackswap orders. I now have Inkheart by Cornelia Funke, The Touch of Twilight by Vicki Petterson, Exit Strategy by Kelley Armstrong, and On Gold Mountain by Lisa See.
