Biggest Disappointment: Summon the Keeper

Ah July. What a complex month. When it comes to school, I finished up my internship at the Auburn Public Library, passed the comprehensive exam that lets me know whether I deserve to get my masters or not, and completely finished two classes. One of the classes I finished was the big time suck, Reading Interests of Children, where I finished reading up fifty two books in a span of two months (the titles I read this month will be listed below). As a result, much of my life got a little interrupted. Loved ones were neglected. The apartment got messy. I wasn't very good at keeping up at all of the blogs and twitter feeds I like to read and my facebook was pretty much ignored. Personal reading, my source of sanity, pretty much came to a screeching halt after I finished Trading in Danger. All of Waking the Witch and most of Summon the Keeper were read after I passed in my final paper. Next month. Things will go back to normal on temporaryworlds. I only have one assigment yet and it's about halfway done already. Once I finish it and get my grades, I will have my Masters of Library and Information Studies. Damn.

Now for something completely different. Challenge update!

New Genre challenge: 11 out of 16 books
Read the World: 7 out of 18 countries
Support your local library challenge: 50 out of 50- COMPLETE

Thanks to the books read for class, I mead headway in all three challenges, completing one. I plan on taking it casually for the next month, but I do have an idea for sort of a self challenge that I suspect I'll start up in September.

Finally we have a list of the books I read for Reading Interests of Children under the cut. Although I haven't posted the reviews here I DO plan on doing a "top ten" list sometime in the next week with short reviews just to let people know which books I recommend the most.
