Ah April. Why were you so confusing? In someways I think I was do for an up and down month, after having a really good February and March. Perhaps it was due to the fact that my mood was somewhat erratic due to end of the semester stress (and I got sick at the end of the month too). Who knows. All I know is I started off on the wrong foot with Urban Shaman. After hearing raving reviews of The Forest of Hands and Teeth, I found it to be a very meh read. I was quite satisfied with The Reckoning and Speaker for the Dead. I found The Alchemy of Stone to be frustrating by ultimately enjoyable. Changes blew me out of the water, and I ended on a good note with Tales of the Otherworld and Curse of the Blue Tattoo. And this ambivalance is going to continue into May, as I'm currently feeling very meh about the book I'm reading.

In real life, I finished up my semester at URI, and I got to spent Easter with my fiancée. I also got to see Megan McCafferty, a writer I really admrie, do a singing at Emerson. Pretty good month I'd say, if you take away all of the end of the semester stress, and the fact I got sick.

Challenges-
New Genre challenge: 5 out of 12 books
Support your local library challenge: 7 out of 50
Young Adult Reading challenge: 14 out of 25
Read the World: 1 out of 18 countries

I didn't do too well with my challenges this month. I hope to make up for it next month with significant profess in the Library Challenge, and the Young Adult Challenge. I hope to get at least two more books for Read the World.
