The ending made me sad. I don't know if I paid much attention to the pacing, but I think Sedia meant for it to just be this abrupt bittersweet end. It was a little frustrating that poor Mattie got what she did.

Anyway. Found you through calico_reaction's monthly read & I'm adding you! :)
