Biggest Disappointment: The Hob's Bargain
Reflection: Another nice variety of books this month. With reading Wuthering Heights I've brought my first "classic" to temporaryworlds, and therefore have messed up my tags. One thing I always tag my book with is year published. Up until this date, all of the books I've read had been published in the 1990s or post 2000. Now I have a lone, Year Published: 1847 tag, which amuses me for some reason. June saw me using the public library a lot more in an attempt not to buy books, as much, or spend money on shipping for paperbackswap. It almost worked, I knew that I wouldn't be able to pass up buying Naamah's Kiss (which was amazing by the way), but I also broke down at a library sale and bought two more books (whoops). Hopefully, next month I can be a little better with my self control.
This month, I took a lot of chances on new authors, and results were usually good. I also read a couple of books that were reccomended to me by friends (Honolulu and City of Ember). My biggest disspointment, strangely enough was from an author that was already established as "good" in my mind, Patricia Briggs. The Hob's Bargain is one of the lowest reviewed books that I have on this blog, which makes me wonder if I really just missed something.
July is always a good month. It's the month of Tanner's (my fiance) birthday, and my birthday too! Hoepfully the rain will let up and it will start feeling like summer soon!
