This book is in my pile of must reads but like you I was a bit skeptical of how well it would turn out so I've been putting it off. Based on your review I might have to move it up the list a bit since my fears for how horribly wrong this could go seem to be misplaced.

Admittedly, not everyone liked it as much as I did. Still I think that for what it is (a fun spoof) that it was a good read. The sexual humor was at times a little misplaced, but I enjoyed the rest of it.

This is good I'll I'm looking for is a fun spoof it's just sometimes when you try for that you end up with something awful beyond awful. I'm wary now of obvious spoof books.
