LIFE IS A DEAF YAK
You know what? I'm practically done with High School. And that is MAGNIFICENT!
I think out of all the high schools I could have gone to, this was probably the best choice. It had the variety, the different perspectives, and the ability to change that I needed while growing up, and I can say that it might have shaped me in some way. Maybe not. I don't know. Living in New York City and going to high school there shapes you.
But regardless, THREE MORE DAYS and then I'm OUT.
Its fantastic!
I'm not going to come away with any lasting incredible friendships, but there are definitely large numbers of cool people, and that's something to be happy about. Prom is a perfect example of this. I'm not going with any one person or group, I'm kind of just showing up, but I'm trusting that it will sort itself out and I'll find my place on the dance floor. Kind of like Stuy!
And then summer. And then SHNAT. and then MCGILL.
It's funny, last year the summer seemed monumental; this year it's more of like, a second thought in my mind. I'm excited to go, and to have all those torrents of emotion and responsibility that I definitely crave, but when I think of the future, I skip straight to shnat. Which isn't the best way to look at it. TARBUT 08! I don't know. I hope it will be everything I'm craving.
