I hate driving.
Driving is our modern plague.
We drive everywhere we go, because cities that we've constructed in America are simply based around the car, sometimes completely unaccommodating to any pedestrian/bicyclist. We have no alternative because the majority of us live far away from where we work/play (Broken Arrow...I'm sending laser eyes to you).
We are fucking ourselves over so much...when 30 years passes and we realize that its harder to produce oil and secure any kind of petroleum security due to political reasons, we will shit ourselves. I can't wait until that day.
If only gasoline for personal uses in cars could be restricted and supplemented with hybrids/EFFICIENT alternative energy vehicles, an adequate public transportation infrastructure and a general public support of cyclists and their needs, I'd cream myself.
BUT...don't think thats going to happen....especially in this fair city of Tulsa.
I really should have bowed out of this whole daily car swap...my mom just assumed that I would want the car to drive the .7 miles to both my doctors. Easily, I could just walk there. Simple as that.
Driving makes me feel so evil inside. Especially on that 20 minute driving from Broken Arrow back in to Tulsa, looking at the smog rising around me, with the other content SUV-driving suburban commuters, commuting from their tacky, identical and sprawling housing developments, speeding across the open plains...a 10 lane highway ::ralph::
Boston, will be a nice change...at least, I won't feel pressured to drive anywhere. No one has a car- we leave that up to our legs/bikes/jackass T drivers. Ah, the wonders of semi-effective public transportation:
I can't wait to use you, leave you, and then return to you at my every whim.
