Felt like a TOTAL novice and was hugely embarassed that, I gather, when I was pumping my rear tire on the trail today on my 6am ride, I damaged the tire tube around the valve. Result: my first flat on a bike I've ridden for maybe 70 miles. Big Boo! Had the spare tube, but no tools to change the flat, so I had to have my dad rescue me on Riverside Drive, my head hanging in shame.
So, maybe it wasn't that dramatic. I guess seeing Chemical Romance's Helena video again this morning put me in an emo mood (please don't take me seriously...I'm not an emo music follower....god I hate that word emo, its just so.....emo!) >>lets see how many times I can use the word.
Though the matter certainly sucked. I looked up online how to change a flat (now I'm an expert cause thats what the Internet does to you!), and I'm off again to buy MORE THINGS at the bike shop. The money-sucking process will never end.
Hhhhany way. Work? On what? Maybe I'll just do some more pretending and hide my lj window when my bosses come near until they will give me an assignment to do (truthfully, I do want one...but I have to wait on other people to get the go-ahead).
The Office Space saga continues...
