Celebrity Encounters: Paris Hilton Edition
yes, loyal readers, 'tis true.
last night i met paris hilton.
i will now share with you my experience.
it was close to closing and these four people came in.
it seemed really odd because it was two younger women, one older guy and this huge dude who walked in first then everyone else followed.
pretty much as soon as she came in matthew and i knew it was her.
she was wearing a heinous dark brown wig with a hat and huge dior shades but you could tell it was her.
upon further inspection it was confirmed when we saw that her blonde hair was sticking out from under the wig.
we didn't tell her.
anyway, AA Bloor was the first american apparel she's ever been to cause she was all "what is this place?" and her friend or possibly PA was all "oh my god you've never been to one of these? it's like, the best place ever for like, really good like, plain stuff."
paris then proceeded to just grab stuff off of racks and throw it down on the counter, most notably: several pairs of thigh high socks, velour romper, tracks suits (black), gold and silver lamae bikinis, about three bandeau dresses and a handful of headbands (literally, i think she just took as many as she could get in one grab).
her PA or something sent me to get a weekender bag to put everything in so i missed if she did anything funny or anything.
anyway, i had my ipod at the time and when i was in the back i was really tempted to put her song on (because i have it on my ipod, duh) but i refrained.
she finished up shortly after i got the bag and matthew and i chatted with her for a bit.
i told her about how i wanted to put her song on but decided not to cause it would have been weird and probably too much.
she laughed and said "that's hott" and i told her that i liked the song (which is sort of true) and she said thanks and that i was sweet.
matthew got her autograph and she actually wrote "To Matthew, That's Hot. Love Always, Paris Hilton xoxo".
i guess she's in town for the mmva's.
matthew was like "well, at least you have a lot of stuff to choose from to wear" she replied "yeah, for the plane home". HA.
interesting things about seeing paris in life:
she's prettier in person than he is in pictures.
she's TINY, height-wise. she couldn't have been taller than like 5'7 which causes me to wonder just how short nicole richie is because she was always dwarfed by paris.
she isn't that thin, she looked like she was a healthy weight for her height.
