i forgot i'm writing in this again.
today was an ok day.
i missed one of my global studies tutorials.
we only have four...
i forgot to sign up and i tried to wign up this morning but it was too late.
so now i have to go talk to him AGH.
i worked from 11-830.
twas a long day but i like da monies so i put up with it.
it helps that we just listen to my ipod all day and i get to dance around to my own music.
everyone loves it.
it makes people buy twice as much, i swear.

i have another lj started.
i haven't decided whether or not i'll make the switch for good or if i'll maintain both, each for different reasons, or none.
or maybe leave this one and go to the other but keep it to myself.
i guess you'll never know.

tomorrow i have my gothic horror class = hooray.
she'll be giving us back the modern, subverted gothic paragraphs that we wrote at the end of last class.
mine was
He was overcome with an uncommon sense of dread as he stepped through the ominous moving doors and into the subway, making certain to mind the gap as all the signage pleaded him to do. Having never ridden one before, this beheamoth of plexiglass and steel filled him with an anxiety he had never expereienced on the shady, tree-lined streets of his hometown - Surely, he hadn't been himself since relocating to the urban sprawl but one week prior. Moving hastily and with bated breath as he took his place at the back of the car he was sure to avoid direct eye contact with the other passengers. No sooner had he taken his seat did a deafening grind and sickening lurch signal the subway's movement forward - or was it backward? It was impossible to tell. For what seemed like minutes they shot 30ft beneath the noise of the city until, as if suddenly grasped within the teeth of some massive creature, the train halted. Before he could look up to gauge the reactions of the other passengers the lights went out. Silence for a few moments and then, as inhuman and terrible as the sounds previously endured, a scream.

we had to use the "element of mystery, energizing diction and interupted events" common in gothic literature as well as subverting at least one gothic convention. i subverted the lower-class hero (fearful rather than brave) and the dark, scary location (subway instead of a castle or mansion) and make it contemporary. not bad for 10 minutes, i guess.

gasp, i know.

i bought watercolour paper the other day as well.
my first attempt wasn't actually too bad.
nothing fancy...
i was going to put a picture in but the scanner bleached out all the colour making that pointless.

anyway, i sleep now. (HOORAY)
