Corporate America Fucks Middle America Again
I am so sick and tired of this economy and the fucking bull shit. Let all the little people, and middle America suffer for what Bush has done, for what the banks have done, and for what the corporate world has done. Big businesses and firms have not been hit hard by all the recession mumbo jumbo and still maintain their high salaries, expensive lives without batting an eye; while us "middle class americans" live in fear of losing our jobs, being layed off, and wondering if we will have a house to live in and a roof over our heads. We already have that to worry about so now in order to fuck us again, now Corporate America is taking away our entertainment. We are barely affording to live in this economy in 2010, and now we are forced to pay for entertainment. Seriously, Corporate America, don't you have bigger and better things to worry about? Like the oil spill in the Gulf? Like global warming and how the earth is probably going to freeze over in the next couple of years? Like hybrid cards and helping the environment to avoid all those disasters that are inevitable? Don't you think those are bigger issues then taking away "free movie and entertainment" websites?
I am pretty sure, Corporate America, you still have enough money to make movies and TV Shows even if all the TVs and Movies projectors in the world broke down and no one was able to watch them. Greedy fuckers who want all the money in the world when hello you already have it. The only reason you are "losing money" is because of the economy. More people are worried about paying their mortgages then going to see movies dozens of times like in the past.
If you actually made decent movies, maybe people would actually want to pay to see them? By taking down these "pirating" websites you are only screwing yourself more. People aren't going to prescreen movies to see what's crap, and what movies they want to see. I know that I used those sites to determine what movies were worth seeing, and those I didn't particular care for that I wouldn't have seen in the first place. Yeah I know that's what trailers are for, but most of the time, for comedy's at least, you give away all the comedic points in the trailer and the movie is dull and boring. Waste of my time, because I could have just watch the 30 second trailer then waste $12 dollars at the movies, when it was pretty much the same thing.
It's like pirated music as well. So many people download musical illegally. If I didn't, I would know which cd's to purchase for my car, or which concerts I would have wanted to go to. I spend $100's of dollars a year on concerts, yet I have never paid for my mp3's. Aren't they still making money from me? More money? If i spend $15 dollars on your cd, and 45 dollars for a concert ticket, which one seems like a more reasonable choice? $15 to listen to the cd over and over again or $45 dollars for an 1 hour concert? Good thing they haven't cracked down on pirated music or else I would be in a hole somewhere avoiding all human contact.
So Corporate America, if you want to prove it to yourself you are losing money, take down all the pirating websites that you can find, give them 2 months, and see how much money you lose then. I guarantee that you soon will be backing these companies, and begging them to pirate your movies to get your money back.
Look at tobacco companies and how they have the "truth" campaign, and look at how many people buy their cigarettes. I know at least 50 smokers who are willing to spend $10 a pack, know how horribly wrong cigarettes are and still continue to smoke.
So just take a look at yourselves "Movie and Entertainment" industry, and take a look at all the companies that are surviving and still running strong and not destroying their reputation. Maybe you need to understand middle america, and the people you are trying to push your movies and entertainment on. Maybe the reason why you are losing money, is because we are in a recession, and everyone is losing some money? Maybe you need to look at yourselves like all the other industries, and stop thinking you are on top of the world.
