Goings On
Well as been the trend lately, it has been a very long time since I have made a post on LJ. There has been so much going on. I had no idea that having a girlfriend would occupy so much of my time; And that time has gone so fast. Sunracer, I'm sorry that I haven't really been around on LJ lately. The same goes for my other online friends, I will try to respond on LJ and myspace with greater frequency.
Anyways,
Destiny and I have been hanging out a ton, I love that girl. We've mostly been hanging out around the house and renting movies, or going to diner and a movie, hiking, or just driving around and talking. The last trip we took was to sedona, and I'd really like to plan a trip this December. She really wants to go Skiing, hopefully there will be enough snow this year. If All goes well, I will ask her to marry me while on the trip.
On an other topic I still need another job. Mesa is driving me crazy, I've been there a year and 3 months and I still hate the place. The management is crazy, and over-zealous. We just cannot comfortably finish the amount of work they schedule and all the MEL's in one night with a crew thats missing 6 guys. JUST BECAUSE WE ARE THE PHX MAINTENANCE FACILITY DOESN"T MEAN WE CAN HANDLE THE WHOLE 200 and 900 FLEET BY OURSELVES!!!!!!. In addition Maintenance Scheduling personnel should be required to have A&P licenses, so they will really know what the hell they are doing.
At least raises are on the horizon. Unfortunately they will be based on "competitors" that don't even hold a candle to Mesa Airlines. We need to be paid at the same rate as our largest competitor, which isn't even 1/5 Mesa's size. It is a sad thing that Mesa makes so much and is so large for a regional carrier, yet we get paid less than most barely-in-business regional air carriers.
Well thats enough ranting. I applied at UPS today, and I'm still waiting on mesa to decide if they want me as an instructor. We need another tool room person and I have the experience for that, however they are trying to be cheap and eek by with only one Tool person. I really need to apply at some more places. Destiny is up for moving and I wouldn't mind a change of scenery either. I'm also considering becoming a Full time driver for UPS, with my courier experience it should be no problem, plus the pay is really good.
I guess thats enough for now, I need to pick up the girlie from school anyway.
