Well I left on friday morning. I got to the airport in time to list for the 7:10 am flt, however it was pretty much sold out. The only non-revs that got on were some southwest employees. I got rolled over to the next one, which was also full, so I got rolled over again to the 11:30 am flt. I made this one and was on my way through Salt lake city. We had a 145 min layover there but at least the next flt leg was empty and I got a bording pass straight off, no missing this one. During this time I finished(finally!) "all she was worth" and I must say that it had a bad ending. They meet the fake shoko at an italian restaurant then it ends when tamotsu puts his hand on her shoulder. There were 4 blank pages at the end of the book. Even with the weird ending, I thought it was a great book.
My grandparents picked me up around 6 pm and we headed off to the hotel so that I could check in. After this we went to my uncles house to have dinner. I had up for about 28 hrs straight by now so we headed back to the hotel so I could get some sleep.
The next morning we went to breakfast and went to go get my rental car. I had reserved a compact car, and they had set aside a kia rio, which is a subcompact. I upgraded to a 05 Volvo S40 for an extra $5 per day. I really loved that car, which is amazing since I'm a SAAB guy, I dont usually like volvos.
It was saturday and my cousin(stephanie)was going to have her graduation party. Jen(my oldest cousin) and I went to go save the good spot at the park where the party was to be held. We set everything up and waited for the rest of her friends and family to show up. It ended up being kind of a sausage fest cause my cousin only hangs out with guys, but she had fun and thats all that mattered.
My grandparents and I left the party early so that we could go for a little drive and then eat dinner. we went out to nampa(which is kind of ghetto) and then over to the old cheese factory, which was closed.
We headed back over towards the cousins' house and had dinner at a steakhouse called Goodwood, then I took the grandparents back to the hotel. I had to hurry though, since I was meeting my cousing and several of her friends to see "The longest Yard" at Edwards 21 theatres. It was a really good movie, everyone enjoyed it. It was 11:45 pm when the movie ended so my cousin had to leave right away to take her friend back before curfew.
Sorry this has been such a play by play, there are just too many details, which I has edited to the most noteable. I'll give you all an intermission, to be continued................
