Hello yuletide bringer!
First up, thank you. I'm so excited to be participating in another round of Yuletide. I can't wait to read your fic gift.

This letter is meant to just help you out - maybe give you some ideas if you're stuck or give you a feel for the things I love. But please don't stress - Yuletide should be fun! I know I'll love whatever you write for me.
The basic stuff:
LOVES:
*genfic (this is not to say that I don't adore a well written piece of smut, but I prefer some plot with it)
*I love small, internal exploration fics that explore my favourite character's headspace (but if you have an epic tale you want to write, I'm down with that too)
*snark, banter and true to voice dialogue are huge, huge loves
*canon divergent AU's (exploring a 'what if' moment is my weakness)
*angst, always angst
*found families
*broken boys, badasses with a (secret) heart of gold, the sidekick that outshines the hero, strong women who don’t have to sacrifice their vulnerability and unrepentant bastards
DNWS:
*no explicit details of rape (referencing a canon event is ok)
*incest
*underage sex
*completely non canon AU’s (coffee shop, pirates, etc)
*genderswap/mpreg

Character(s): Claire Temple
What do I love about Claire Temple? What's not to love? She's been one of the brightest points across three very different shows and I'm completely in love with her - her resilience, her compassion, her fierce belief in justice, her bravery, everything. Claire Temple is the ultimate non super powered superhero.
I'd love to see you explore post Luke Cage's final episode. Does she turn Pop's place into a medical clinic to help out vigilantes after she helps Luke get out of prison? What about her first self-defense class with Colleen WIng (best easter egg ever)? Teaming up with Misty to take down Shades? What does a Claire Temple vs Mariah Dillard show down look like?
Ship wise, I'm totally down with Claire and Luke getting some coffee (but please, no Jessica bashing as I love her too). Claire/Matt is ok as well (especially after Claire's patched his beat ass up).
Stranger Things (TV 2016)
Character(s): Eleven, Lucas Sinclair, Dustin Henderson, Mike Wheeler
Disclaimer: I'm an 80's child and I LOVE 80's films and 80's nostalgia - so this show was an instant love. Mainlined in 2 days. It's got the Goonies vibe meets Stand by Me meets tv mini series It. My found families love is alive and well here.
I love these kids. Feel free to go AU and give me D&D with the newly reunited El and the whole gang or El's first Halloween. Follow the end of season 1 and show me the boys protective of El after she returns and when she falters a little trying to adjust to normalcy. If you don't want to write something light, the dark is ok as well. Send them to the upside down. What happens when what Will brought back comes out or takes over? I love the adults too, so if you want to include Joyce or Hopper, please do.
Please no deaths. I love these kids too much.
Jem and the Holograms (Comics)
Character(s): Phyllis "Pizzazz" Gabor (Jem (Comics)
Like I mentioned, I'm an 80's child. I loved the Jem cartoon as a kid and I had a massive doll collection. When the comic came out, I picked up the first issue out of curiosity and was so happy with what I found inside. It's still has all the things I loved about the original source material but they've expanded it so well. I love seeing different body types on the girls and Kimber/Stormer are my faves plus we have some great expanded takes on so many characters that were one note before (like Jetta or even Eric).
Interestingly enough (to me anyway) I found Pizzazz to be most improved from show to comic. She's still loud and bossy and needs to be in control but there's a softer, vulnerable side that we saw when she was injured. I love her cat (I love the name of her cat). I love her relationship with Jem - the jealousy and the rivalry and yet the almost friendship we saw at Christmas.
I'd love a look into her headspace - why did she want to become a singer? How did losing her voice affect her? Why did she choose who she did as her bandmates? Has she ever been close to her father? What about the rest of her family?
Ship wise - I'm totally into Pizzazz/Jem which is complicated on so many levels (and therefore I love it). Please no Pizzazz/any other bandmates.
Suicide Squad (2016)
Character(s): Harleen Quinzel (Suicide Squad (2016)), Floyd Lawton (Suicide Squad (2016)), Deadshot (Suicide Squad (2016))
Harley and Floyd remain the brightest parts of this movie. I thought both portrayals were the strongest and from the moment they shared screen time I was done.
You can go ship wise or friend wise or Floyd mentoring Harley. I'm here for it all. I want as much Floyd/Harley interaction as you can write me. I'd love to see more missions and shenanigans and whatever you can dream up. I don't have a lot of specifics so the sky is the limit. Bring out all the tropes for this one: zombie apocalypse, posing undercover as a married couple for a mission, training together or even Harley patching up a hurt Floyd.
What I don't want: Please no current Harley/Joker or romanticizing their relationship. I see H/J as toxic and abusive. Referencing their past together is fine.
