Good afternoon, refugees.
Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Vesper Chambers, and I will be serving as the new chief of police in the wake of Mr. McCutchen's resignation. Mayor Fieldings assigned me this post due to my affable demeanor and highly efficient methods. I have been told that I am good with people.
As my first order of business as chief, I would like to announce that new housing complexes have been set up for you. They are acceptably clean places to live---quiet, neat, orderly, placed in the Artisan district of our fair city. You will be near the more bustling heart of Template, but conveniently tucked away with other refugees from other worlds. Individuals will be given their own rooms---the information of where you are to move and who you will be living with should already have been sent to your current residences.
Please do not think that you are being isolated, filed away or otherwise organized into camps. Our Mayor decided to pass this change because of the sprawled nature of your current living situations; we consider you our guests, so we would not want you to see this move as a gross act of segregation.
Instead, please see this as an opportunity to create a social network with others of similar interests, pasts, and markings.
Thank you for your time, and please feel free to come see me in my office if you ever have questions. I would appreciate it if you made an appointment, though, instead of disrupting my schedule by dropping in unannounced.
I like to keep things neat.
