They would try to descend, but they would fail, a well placed arrow in the throat or chest felling the humes with one blow. Fran's face was serious, but she wasn't upset -- in fact, she was quite the opposite, rather enjoying herself. Balthier had said their life wouldn't be anything like it had been-but then, this happened, and it proved him wrong. Quite the enjoyable occasion as far as Fran was concerned.
When her bow wasn't enough, she resorted to fast kicks and punches, using the bow itself as a weapon, shoving the men two feet shorter and one hundred pounds heavier than her out of the way like they were nothing but paper dolls left in her way to annoy. Her claws were formidible, but none of these men feared. That was worrisome.
Balthier, however, was correct about the one thing. The Downtown Church was surrounded, and Fran frowned, nocking another arrow onto her bow, aiming for one who was charging her. This would be no easy task.
