. . .
It had been pretty obvious right from the start that what she was seeing wasn't real. Anise was no fool, after all, and the things that he had seemingly 'forgotten' were just painfully obvious. He didn't know Luke, he didn't even remember having left for Malkuth in an attempt to stop the war from starting. It was obviously; heartbreakingly obvious.
But just because she knew that it was all fake didn't mean that she wanted to get rid of it. On the contrary, the chance to see Ion alive again - even if it wasn't truly happening - was the one thing she wanted more than anything in any world, and so, even if it was a dream, even if it was fake, she didn't want to let it go for even a second.
As near as she could figure, this was Ion from a couple of months before any of the fiasco with Van had ever started. He was healthy and cautious, soft-spoken and sweet. She was shaken out of the thoughts when she felt his hand close around her wrist and saw his smile brighten. "Anise, come on!" he said excitedly, tugging her forward just a bit, and the black-haired girl stumbled forward slightly before nodding.
"Outside, right~?♥" she asked brightly, smiling a huge smile that could have rivaled Tokunaga's. "Alright, let's go!" She practically skipped when following the Fon Master outdoors, to the streets of Daath. It was nice... it was all so nice.
Please... please don't let me wake up. I want to stay here... I want to stay here with Ion.
