"The reason you are here is because you are making that face. You have been away from people too long and that is not good. Furthermore, you took all the time to make something so nice and I wish for Ovan to see the person who made it for him." Nataku explained as they waited. If he could, he would have set his hands behind his back and leaned up to stare Ianto in the face as he has seen others do that. When they did, it seemed to get their point across, but as it was; he was holding a the gifts and was worried it would spill if he did any elaborate actions.

"A tea party." It was a simple enough explanation. After said explanation, he tipped his head in the direction of his friend. "This is Ianto Jones. I have no intention of making this into a blind date as I am still hoping for Misaki and you to become princess and prince respectively." He felt that this was an important fact that needed to be said or else they might get the wrong idea.

"Understood." At the comment of able to make himself at home, he hurried to set up a table for them to have tea at. Finding cups, plates for the pie, and other such things as though it were his house and he was allowed to search for these items. However, since he was given permission, Nataku did not see this as being rude or wrong and spoke (babbled) as he went about setting up the table. "Ianto has been not around much as well. I thought you two would have a lot in common in that respect."

Ianto refrained from commenting on how Template's residents weren't exactly the sort of people he liked to socialise with... and now he thought about it he hadn't actually spent much time with people even before Template. He settled for muttering under his breath instead. "I'm not making any face."

He smiled when Nataku introduced him, however, suspecting Ovan was probably just as unwilling to take part in the tea party as he was. "A pleasure to meet you. Might I ask your name?"

He didn't even think twice about the little explanation that Nataku had provided when he introduced him to Ianto. Others would have probably been a bit curious but he seemed to take everything in stride. Then again, Ovan had a certain understanding about him that was hard to put into words. Some things were best left unspoken (or in this case left unexamined as it probably would have lead to nowhere and yet someplace completely strange all at the same time).

"It's certainly a pleasure to meet you as well." He offered a polite enough smile, all things considered. "My apologies for not introducing myself earlier. I am Ovan."

"Please Nataku. You are my guest. Allow me to set the table." Somewhere in the back of his mind he knew that he was a guest in his own home but that was one of those things that one learned to deal with. He simply took everything in stride, remaining as cordial as ever.

Upon setting another plate down, Nataku looked at the two in the usual blank confusion that he had when someone said something particularly confusing. "But I am making myself at home. That is what I am doing. If this were my home, you would not have to do anything."

Worried that Ovan would say that he wasn't making much sense -- even though Ovan never really ever said something like that to him. He was just worried that this would be the first time.

"Ianto agrees that I am making sense. Correct, Ianto?" Yes, he forced his other friend into a not quite argument with Ovan. "Ovan, you like strawberry pie, do you not?" The tangent that he took was because he was staring at said pie and wondering if he had made Ianto make the right kind of pie.

Ianto considered attempting to explain how guests and hosts were supposed to act to Nataku, but quickly pushed away that idea. Explaining things to Nataku was awkward at the best of times, and potentially causing an argument in this situation wasn't wise. "Why don't we all set it? It'll get done quicker that way."

Or at least he hoped it would... knowing Nataku it could possibly slow the process down considerably.

Sense was what one made of it. What was normal for one was different for another and Ovan understood this perfectly. It came of no real surpise and he even seemed to smile a bit as he regarded his guests. In a way he almost felt a bit sorry for poor Ianto but the man seemed to be taking everything in stride, all things considered. "I understand what you're saying, Nataku. It's a set of logic that does make sense when one looks at it from a certain point of view."

"Ianto is right. If we all take a task then we can make things go smoothly without having to worry about taking too much time at any one task. That way, we can enjoy the company of one another without having to worry." It was with almost relative ease that he could try and find a solution that seemed almost 'Nataku-esque'. Or, at the very least, one that would appeal to his interest without sounding as if he was being scolded or corrected as that was never an intention.

With a pleasant enough smile he moved to help Nataku set the table. "Strawberry pie sounds wonderful."

"Correct. My view is a nice one." Nataku smiled. He still had not quite gotten the hang of smiling brightly like people did when they were truly happy. However, he was happy that he could at least smile, just a little. He supposed that he could hope that the feelings that he was feeling would translate well from his not-quite smile. "Or so I am told."

With a plate in his hand, he paused to stare at the two of them. It seemed as though he was analyzing what was being said to him, deciding if he was being scolded or not by Ianto and Ovan. He blinked, breaking his stare and coming to his decision. He had not been scolded. "Understood. You may help me set the table then." Holding the plate out to whomever wanted to take it from him, he felt he should not put another plate down after they decided to help one another.

"See. It was a good idea to make a strawberry pie, Ianto."

Ianto took the plate from Nataku, placing it on the table. "It was." he agreed indulgently. There was no point in pointing out it would've been easier to just go out and buy one. In all honesty making the pie rather than buying it was probably one of Nataku's better ideas.

He looked up at Ovan as he straightened out the plates and cups already on the table. "I hope we aren't being an inconvenience to you at all. Nataku talked me into this, and I know you weren't expecting me."

"Tasks always go by faster with a little extra help." He spoke lightly, offering some reasoning to help solidify the decision that Nataku had came to. He knew that it really wasn't needed, but sometimes such positive reinforcement was a good idea and helped one be more at ease.

Once everything was set, he smiled and gestured for the other two to sit.

"It's no inconvenience at all. If one learns to live a flexible life, then they'll always have the time to make room in whatever schedule it is that they decide to keep." Really, it was no inconvenience at all. Surprise was the spice of life, after all, even if it could be good and/or bad.

Nataku looked up for a moment at the ceiling as though thinking of something -- the little hamster running with all of its might -- before he decided to keep the thought that he had to himself. More so, he was putting away the idea that tasks would always go faster if he had help. He wondered if that could be applicable for other situations as well and began to think of situations that they could indeed work in. Most of them were related to picking on or harassing a certain individual for the hope that he would be praised later for doing so.

Taking his seat, he decided that he would ask Ianto's opinion on what he was thinking. Not so much the thoughts on needing help to accomplish his goals but another thought that had taken over his others. "Ianto, you think Ovan is very nice, do you not?" The clone was a little upset that Misaki did not come to the same conclusion as he had about Ovan. She was complaining about needing time or something of that manner that did not make much sense to him.

"It would seems like if someone is nice they should belong to someone." If he could do so, he would have sighed at this moment, but did not. "Do you two not agree with me?"

Ianto looked up as he took his seat, raising a surprised eyebrow at the question... though quite why he was still surprised by anything Nataku said was a mystery in itself. "He seems very nice." He allowed, regarding Nataku warily.

He pulled a slight face at his next comment, not quite able to bring himself to agree with it. "Well, maybe not so much to someone as with them...?"

His expression remained neutral as he poured some tea once it was ready, as it was not his place to add any extra comments. He kept those to himself, as the question had not originally been posed to him and he wasn't rude. It was, perhaps, just a bit awkward but he wasn't one to let it show. Besides. It wasn't really that bad. Nothing ever was if one chose to put it in to the right light. Everything was just a matter of how it was viewed.

"With them?" Nataku pondered this for a moment. He liked the idea more that people belonged with their chosen individual rather than that they are with one another. This possibly stemmed from the fact that Wei belonged to Yukimura and vise versa. People simply should not try to take something that belonged to other people. That said, he looked up after all this. "Then it would seem that we all with each other."

"Ovan, you would rather belong to someone else, correct?" If there was awkwardness about this conversation that he was having with the two of them, the clone did not seem to notice it. At all. He considered it quite fine to have such a discussion with his two friends. After all, they were friends.

Ianto rolled his eyes, wondering why he even bothered trying to explain some concepts to Nataku as he poured himself a coffee.

He didn't reply to the question, sipping at his coffee instead. Ovan seemed to be patient enough with Nataku even if his questions were occasionally inappropriate.

Before answering the question, he seemed to give it some thought, taking a sip from his cup before setting it back down.

"The question you pose has many possibilities, Nataku. In what context do you mean 'belong'?" Leave it to Ovan to find something a bit philosophical about the whole thing. Regardless, he left the question open like that in order to see what, exactly, was going through Nataku's mind at the current time. Even then, however, he knew that it was subject to change at any given moment.

Nataku did not sigh at Ianto for being quiet and only sipped his own coffee during the silence. He made a slight face at the beverage as he did like the idea of tea, but tried to take the face back by smiling at the two of them.

"Belong. Meaning that you are with them forever. And no one can take you away from that individual. Is that not how everyone wants to be?" He had not set the cup down but talking around the rim of the cup. "Does not everyone want to remember that they have a heart?" This question he prompted to the both of them as they were older than he was and most likely knew the answer of it -- with all the life experience that they had.
