I don't know why, but I don't sleep very well during the week, I usually make it through the week and then die on Saturday night...weird I know. I tell my parents I'm getting ready for college, and honestly it doesn't bother me that much, until the morning that is...but anyway, I read this at like really late and I found it to be very inspiring and admonishing.
Matthew 10:37-39
37"Anyone who loves his father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who loves his son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me; 38and anyone who does not take his cross and follow me is not worthy of me. 39Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it."
This is a really tough passage for me, because I often find myself so willing to just sit back and do nothing. Especially when I'm tired. I don't want to, I want to live a life worthy of Christ, what could be a higher calling than to live for the Glory of God?
I might have used this quote before, but I love it.
"The heart is the battleground where God and the devil wage war for the souls of men."
-Fyodor Dostoevsky
Good night, guard your hearts.
