Bone Density Check

Dear all,
So today was my last day of work for the term!!! YEAH!!! I had a handicapped class at one of my elementary schools. A good group. A lot more controlled then some of my special needs kids. And I love teaching at my elementaries they are really nice and let me run the class (when they can't) and when they run the class they actually can run the class. So I did my class and returned to school. I am here because I am going to have lunch with the kids in 1D (haven't had lunch with them yet) and then off to go to the gym.
When I got back to school I was requested to join the teachers for something. Not sure what they were saying, but they made it clear I should go. (Later I learned that they were saying the name of the medical test they wanted me to take, but at the time I had no clue.) Guestures and repeating the word dansei (men/guys/male) and a refrain of "Brian is strong" gets you a lot with me. So I went and figured out it was a bone density test. They used sound delayed sensors to measure the thickness of my bones. It was kinda cool. Downside is that my bone density is really low. 1530s. Not sure the scale but that was the lower end of the "normal" scale for men my age. So got to drink more milk and exercise more. Dude... depression of being beaten by my principal (late 50s guy who beat me by almost 60 points). ::hangs head in shame::
But it has been another year in Japan. Some things I expected and a lot of things I did not expect happened. Later I will review it more fully. But now I am just happy to be almost back home to the states. YEAH GOING BACK TO CAL!!!
