I watched it, as one watches the cliched slow-motion train wreck. Our heroine nearly saves Abe Lincoln, our villain manages to kill him anyway. The best lines were exchanged by the two male time-travellers about their (really cheesy) uniforms "We got them from a Civil War re-enactment club" "Oh, that's why they smell of sweat and loneliness." And to the scriptwriters' credit, they had a real soldier recognize their inaccuracy.

Meanwhile, our heroine is being laced into her dress over nothing at all. And she is able to run out and buy a more evening-style dress that fits her perfectly, as though somewhere in this timeline, ready-to-wear had been invented before 1865.

Oh dear. I'm sure the idea was that you need Big Historical Events to get the audience to care, but there are just so many ways to stumble right into a mass of cliches that way.

I would also give a show a lot of leeway just for remembering the little details - like chemises, I suppose.

Yeah. I keep looking for a good show to delve into, but so far, no luck.
