Vague DW Christmas special feelings:
I liked it, though not as much as "A Christmas Carol"; it felt like it needed a second or third pass to come together--I liked the mother and the daughter, for example, but would have liked to get to know them a little better. The last scene, however, was all sparkles and butterflies and melted my heart into a useless puddle of goo.
Basically, all my feelings are Pond feelings. (The Doctor has a family! He's not standing out in the rain all alone! I love that they set a place for him, whether he shows up or not - because Amy is the girl who waited, and Rory is the boy who waited, and waiting, the way they do, is always about love and stubborn hope.) And Amy exclaiming about River, "She's a good girl!," all maternal and cross, made my night. Also, as usual, Matt Smith's face is a delight.
