Watching the weather reports anxiously. I just want to make it home before Christmas--why is the universe so disobliging about this?

Oh no! My fingers are crossed for you! There's nothing worse than the utter lack of control that comes with travel and bad weather put horribly together.

Thanks! That's very true: I can deal with one or the other, but not both at once. Especially since my idea of "dealing with" snow is actually to stay indoors until the powers that be have dealt with it. :)

::hugs:: Best of luck with it all. For what it's worth, it's cleared up here and is sunny at least, even if it's still too cold for the snow to fully melt.

All the travel nightmares last year are part of why we decided to say 'screw it all' and stay home this year. Well, that and grading and the wedding in January where we'll see everybody anyway.

Thanks! They seem to be predicting now that the storm will head farther out, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

But I definitely wish at times like these that my mother lived close by; it would be nice not to have to travel very far during a season of such uncertain weather!
