I feel like there's a joke here, or a comment on costume drama, but I can't find it.

It continues to weird me out that in the latest adaptation of Emma (airing tomorrow on PBS--check your local listings, as they say), there are two actors who have played Edmund Bertram.

For some reason this is even weirder than the "aaah what Elizabeth Bennet/Mr. Knightley" thing my brain kept doing when the film of Possession came out. (This didn't actually happen while I was watching the film, thank goodness. I can only hope I'm as lucky tomorrow.)
