LJ Layouts + graphics

Ok. I am browsing lj for layouts and graphics. They are so many pretty ones that i've seen. But i have trouble understanding the tutorials, which seem easy btw, but i'm thinking the tools to customize are different and i was unable to locate them. It's confusing me and getting me annoyed.

Ok.  I'm going to try to find some more tutorials in order to understand why it's not working. Hmm.
