Last night, well this morning to be exact, I saw something that few people are privilaged to see.
I had gotten to bed around 1 in the morning at which time my brother was still not home. However around 1:30, my brother came into my room and woke me up. (Normally a bad move that everyone does because I am fairly grumpy when I get woken up) He didn't say much just he watched to show me something outside.
So I got up, followed him outside. Anybody who was up last night would know that it was FREEZING outside last night, a direct contrast to the warm blankets awaiting me back inside. But once I got out there I saw that it was worth while. Last night it was so cold and the condictions were right, that I got to see the Aurora Borealis, also know as the Nothern Lights. My brother had seen it while he was out and when he got home he showed it to me.
They were amazing! although theur color was a bit faded, mainly because it is so south of the poles and light of our yard light, but it was still easy enough to see. They looked like green waves rippling in the night sky! It's hard to really explain it, it's more something you have to see.
