Shoot the breeze!
I think a letter we recieved in the mail tried to attack me. I do not own a letter opener, I never have. I typically tear away a small piece of one corner, insert finger and rip across the top of the letter. Sometimes this results in a papercut. Sometimes it does not. Today, however, it resulted in a rather bizarre injury. A piece of what appeared to be GLASS got stuck into my finger like a sliver. At first I suspected the evil papercut because I felt the sting and I continued my ripping - yet the discomfort remained. Upon peering at the injured appendage I saw the glint of glass or metal. No idea. WTF. It took me about ten minutes to remove it. I wish I could recall which envelope did this because I would complain to the company. What horrid paper they purchase! >:|
Jason left today for his confrence. :| Yuck. It's only four nights though, so I'll be just fine. I remember in the beginning I would have spazzed, I hated the thought of him ever being away, even if it was 24 hour duty! I'm getting better though and sometimes a few days away is nice, I guess. Friday I ordered him a special shirt - a Shaman one that he had been looking at a few days previous. It arrived today! I had to tell him because I'm a blabbermouth and hate keeping surprises! He can't wait to get it, of course and hopefully next check I'll be able to purchase a Warlock one. We'll see. We still really need to get Heaven some more Fall/Winter clothes.
I put up some Christmas lights around the paper lantern lamp that the girls ruined. *Sigh.* I'd have put them around the window but Jason just so happened to break the light switch on the wall where the plug is for that area. >:| Fret not! I shall figure something out.
I'm off to vacuum the cheez-it's off the floor and maybe order a pizza for dinner, since I don't quite feel like cooking tonight. HEROES IS ON. ZOMG, YAYZ.
