Bones (Brennan) thoughts and fic rec

I don't necessarily think the writers of Bones are always doing a great job of showing us what I believe is going on with Brennan right now, but I am drawing on my knowledge of her back story to explain things like the not-including-Booth-in-the-ultrasound thing and I've been struggling to put it all in words (which people may have noticed if they've read any of my rambling comments anywhere since 7.02 aired *g*)

And then eitoph wrote this gorgeous fic and made it all better. I can't recommend it enough ♥
