TT's Optimism Club - In Support of Booth

What is TT's Optimism Club?
It is intended to be a place where people can come if they want to discuss the good stuff they still see happening on Bones.
I know we all get frustrated sometimes and no-one is going to chuck you out if you are not 100% happy with Season 6 but I want this to be somewhere we can talk about the good stuff without continually justifying why we think it's good to those who don't... so truly without wishing to offend, if you are not feeling good about stuff, please skip these.
So... The Doctor in the Photo was rightly all about Brennan. I thought it was a fantastic episode and such a beautiful moment for her character to come to this realisation. But I was shocked by the fact that lots of people didn't like Booth's reaction.
I'll let you all talk about the ways it was totally in character, unhonourable and kind of him to let her down the way he did, about all the ways he's been burying his feelings for fear of being hurt, but I re-watched the episode last night with my husband (his first watching) and bear in mind that he is a begrudging watcher of the show usually. He said can't people see it written all over Booth's face how much what she's saying effects him? Plus he's a man he's not going to be all 'OMG YAY I CAN SEE IT ALL NOW!!' he'll go home and go 'DOH!' Especially, he said, when he sees Hannah there and begins drawing comparisons.
And then he said Brennan (whom he is usually cool towards) was so sweet when she cried and it was nice to see she could and that that would have effected Booth most deeply of all.
(I know, where did I find him? Yes, he does have brothers, but they haven't left school.)
So the upshot of all this is, I am feeling even more supportive of Booth's reaction to Brennan than ever and I'm so hopeful that we're heading somewhere now - even though the road to get there may continue to be bumpy as hell. That's life, people.
