Guy's Carvery always gives the impression on his 6 Music show that he only discovered music during Elbow's protracted hiatus.

I would question whether he has ever discovered music. His producer probably selects his playlists for him.

If the music industry is really serious about trying to get the Youth to start buying albums again, then why on earth award the Mercury Music Prize to a band whose core audience must surely be 40-year-old men?
